Perawatan Tali Pusat Bayi Baru Lahir: Narrative Review

Masa neonatal merupakan masa paling rentan bagi kelangsungan hidup seorang anak, salah satunya rentan terhadap infeksi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi metode perawatan tali pusat dalam mencegah infeksi pada bayi baru lahir. Desain penelitian narrative review. Pencarian artikel menggunakan kata kunci “Umbilical cord care “AND “Newborn “AND Infection risk “OR” Infection “OR” Complication melalui Database CINAHL, PubMed, dan Science Direct dengan memperhatikan kriteria inklusi, seperti: fokus pada penelitian perawatan tali pusat, artikel primer, dan fullteks, rentang tahun 2015-2024. Hasil pencarian sebanyak 175 artikel, diseleksi dan ditinjau sehingga menghasilkan 20 artikel untuk dianalisis. Hasil akhir ditemukan enem artikel yang eligible, diperoleh 3 tema, yaitu: metode perawatan tali pusat dengan pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) topikal, pemberian chlorhexidine 4%, dan perawatan luka kering. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ada beberapa metode perawatan tali pusat pada bayi baru lahir yang efektif untuk mencegah infeksi pada bayi baru lahir. Disarankan pemberian edukasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pentingnya perawatan tali pusat yang benar dalam mencegah infeksi.
