Abstract

Menyusui telah terbukti menjadi faktor pelindung bagi bayi terhadap berbagai infeksi penyakit. Belum banyak bukti informasi yang memberi kejelasan tentang pemberian ASI terhadap bayi dari ibu dengan infeksi COVID-19. Tinjauan sistematis ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk memberi rangkuman informasi tentang rekomendasi apakah menyusui tetap dianjurkan atau tidak. Desain penelitian adalah tinjauan sistematis atau systematic review yang diperoleh dari beberapa basis data yaitu PubMed, google scholar, NIH, CDC, dan Science Direct. Kata kunci untuk pencarian artikel adalah, “COVID “breastfeeding” AND “covid-19”, “breastmilk” AND “ Covid-19 infection in breastmilk”, “characteristic infection” AND “ breastfeeding” AND “breastmilk”. Pencarian dilakukan sejak Januari-Desember 2021.Kriteria inklusi full paper dengan desain studi observasional. Subjek penelitian adalah ibu menyusui yang terkonfirmasi menderita COVID-19 dibuktikan dengan test real time PCR. Melahirkan normal dan secio caesarea. Virus SARS-CoV 2 tidak terdeteksi dalam kolostrum. Antibodi IgA dan IgG spesifik anti SARS-CoV-2 dalam ASI meningkat pesat secara signifikan. Ibu yang terinfeksi COVID-19 masih dapat menularkan virus melalui tetesan pernapasan saat kontak dengan anak, selama menyusui, terbukti dari ditemukannya virus SARS-CoV-2 dalam ASI yang diperoleh lebih dari seminggu setelah melahirkan yang dikumpulkan menggunakan pompa listrik.
