Telemedicine in Controlling Hba1c in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients: A Systematic Review

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) adalah gangguan metabolisme kronik dengan berbagai jenis penyebab dan komplikasi progresif. Jika tidak ada tindakan yang memadai maka diperkirakan pada tahun 2030, akan terjadi lonjakan kasus DM. Perawatan DM menjadi tantangan dimana kebutuhan untuk kepatuhan berkelanjutan pada pengobatan, namun sering kali waktu, jarak, tempat serta biaya kadang menjadi hambatan dalam proses perawatan sehingga penggunaan teknologi informasi kesehatan adalah salah satu solusi yang tepat juga efektif dengan biaya rendah untuk meningkatkan akses kesehatan pada pasien yang kurang mendapatkan pelayanan medis utamanya  masalah kontrol glikemik. Salah satu teknologi informasi kesehatan adalah telemedicine. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keefektifan telemedicine dalam mengontrol kadar HbA1c pasien diabetes mellitus type 2. Penelitian ini dengan desain sistematic review, menggunakan tiga database international yaitu PubMed, Ebsco, dan Cochrane Library. Proses pencarian artikel dilakukan antara tahun 2016-2022 (5 tahun). Berdasarkan pencarian  database terdapat 8 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Artikel yang terinklusi dianalisis menggunakan Critical Apprasial Skill Programe dan kualitas artikel menggunakan Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence Based Practice dan hanya 8 artikel intervensi yang memenuhi kriteria.
