Abstract

Peningkatan prevalansi diabetes menjadi penyebab banyaknya penelitian terkait antihiperglikemik untuk mencari senyawa terutama dari tanaman yang memiliki potensi dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah. Sudah cukup banyak penelitian mengenai daun sirsak, sifat serta manfaatnya yang dilakukan secara komprehensif untuk mengetahui efektivitas daun sirsak dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah. Tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk merangkum secara sistematis studi terkait daun sirsak dalam manajemen kadar gula darah. Penelusuran artikel dilakukan secara daring melalui 5 database akses terbuka (PuBMed, GoogleScholar, Elseiver, Crossref, dan Proquest) selama 2 minggu pada awal bulan Oktober 2021. Digunakan kata kunci antihyperglycemic, diabetes mellitus, soursop leaf, UTGO, in vitro, in vivo, dan in silico test. Diidentifikasi 18 studi dari tahun 2011-2021 dengan kriteria yaitu 5 studi in vitro, 8 studi in vivo, dan 5 studi in silico. Studi in vitro mengatakan bahwa ekstrak daun sirsak memiliki aktivitas α-glukosidase, α-amilase, dan memiliki kandungan fenolik yang tinggi. Studi in vivo mengatakan bahwa daun sirsak dapat meningkatkan toleransi glukosa dan mengurangi penyerapan glukosa pada tikus terinduksi glukosa. Studi in silico mengatakan bahwa daun sirsak memiliki aktivitas penghambatan α-amylase sehingga menurunkan kadar gula darah melalui jalur yang serupa dengan α-amylase. Daun sirsak banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat sehingga perlu dilakukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut.
