Efektivitas Self Acupressure PC6 terhadap Mual Muntah pada Pasien Kanker yang Menjalani Kemoterapi

Mual dan muntah merupakan efek samping paling umum dari kemoterapi yang berdampak signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup pasien kanker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas self acupressure pada titik PC6 dalam mengurangi tingkat mual muntah pada pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi. Desain penelitian menggunakan Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) yaitu dilakukan dua kelompok yang dipilih secara random, kemudian diberi pre-test untuk mengetahui keadaan awal adakah perbedaan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol, sebelum dan setelah dilakukan self acupressure PC6. Sebanyak 66 responden dipilih secara acak dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok intervensi yang menerima self acupressure PC6 dan terapi antiemetik, serta kelompok kontrol yang hanya menerima terapi farmakologis standar. Pengukuran tingkat mual muntah dilakukan menggunakan Kuesioner Rhodes Index for Nausea, Vomiting, and Retching (INVR). Rhodes INVR menggunakan skala likert dengan menghitung skor Rhodes, dengan rentang skor : skor 0 yaitu tidak mual muntah, skor 1-8 yaitu mual muntah ringan, skor 9-16 yaitu mual muntah sedang, skor 17-24 yaitu mual muntah berat dan skor 25-32 yaitu mual muntah buruk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan signifikan pada skor mual muntah dalam kelompok intervensi setelah dilakukan self acupressure PC6 (p = 0,000). Uji independent t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi pada skor post test (p = 0,011). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa self acupressure PC6 efektif dalam menurunkan mual muntah pada pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi.
