Abstract

Letusan gunung berapi adalah suatu reaksi vulkanik yang dikenal dengan kata erupsi. Bahaya yang disebabkan oleh letusan gunung berapi adalah berupa awan panas, lontaran material, hujan batu, lava, gas beracun dan banjir lahar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden yaitu usia dan jenis kelamin serta adakah pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan tentang erupsi gunung berapi terhadap kesiapsiagaan siswa di SD Sanjaya Tritis Purwobinangun, Pakem, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment pre and post test without control dengan teknik sampling yaitu non probability sampling dengan metode total sampling. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2, 3, 4 dan 5. Total populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu 45 responden. Analisa menggunakan uji Wilcoxon test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kesiapsiagaan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang erupsi gunung berapi yaitu 76,00 dan 84,00. Uji statistik menunjukkan p-value 0,000. Karakteristik usia pada responden yang paling banyak adalah responden yang berusia 10, karakteristik jenis kelamin responden laki-laki lebih banyak daripada responden perempuan dan terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan tentang erupsi gunung berapi terhadap kesiapsiagaan siswa di Sekolah Dasar Sanjaya Tritis.
