Strategi Koping Berhubungan dengan Stres Remaja SMA di Surabaya

Fenomenologi stress remaja memiliki faktor salah satunya kepuasan kebutuhan psikologis dasar. Strategi koping meningkatkan kemampuan seseorang mengatasi stres. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan strategi koping dan stres remaja SMA di Surabaya. Jenis penelitian adalah corelasi desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah remaja SMA Katolik Frateran di Surabaya. Menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 51 orang. Instrumen strategi koping menggunakan BriefCOPE, uji reabilitas 0,811-0,828, uji validitas sebesar 0,85. Instrumen stres menggunakan Perceived stress scale (PSS-10), uji reabilitas 0,80, uji validitas 0,43. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar stress sedang 78,43% responden, terdiri dari 52,5% responden laki-laki. Stres berat dari 9,8% responden dan sebagian besar responden stres berat merupakan laki-laki. Strategi koping tipe emotional focused coping lebih dari 50% (56,9%) merupakan koping adaptif. Hasil uji statitsitk dengan uji Rank Spearman p = 0,039 dengan nilai correlation coefficient - 0,290. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara strategi koping dan tingkat stres remaja SMA dengan kekuatan hubungan lemah dan arah hubungan negatif. Semakin adaptif strategi koping seseorang maka akan semakin rendah tingkat stres seseorang.
