Tantangan yang Dihadapi Ibu Menyusui dalam Pemenuhan Hak Anak: Asi Eksklusif

Menyusui merupakan proses alamiah, tampak mudah namun dalam kenyataannya tidak sedikit ibu mengalami tantangan dalam proses menyusui. Identifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi ibu dalam menyusui mampu meningkatkan dukungan kepada ibu dalam pemberian ASI yang selanjutnya dapat meminimalisir kemungkinan penghentian ASI eksklusif. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tantangan yang dihadapi ibu saat menyusui dan menganalisis hubungannya dengan penghentian ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian korelasional kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 100 ibu menyusui yang pilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang telah dimodifikasi dan melewati tahap uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan persepsi ASI tidak cukup (p value 0,000) dan puting lecet (p value 0,018) berhubungan dengan penghentian ASI eksklusif, namun tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara bayi menolak menyusu dengan penghentian ASI eksklusif (p value 0,754). Mayoritas responden mengalami penghentian ASI eksklusif. Persepsi ASI tidak cukup dan puting lecet merupakan tantangan ibu menyusui yang dapat menyebabkan penghentian ASI eksklusif, sementara bayi menolak menyusu tidak berhubungan dengan penghentian ASI eksklusif.
