Efek Edukasi terhadap Quality of Life pada Pasien Asma: Tinjauan Sistematis

Sebanyak 235 juta orang di dunia hidup dengan asma. Negara dengan penghasilan rendah dan menengah ke bawah prevalensi kematian akibat asma mencapai lebih dari 80%. Asma merupakan penyakit yang tidak dapat disembuhkan, sampai saat ini belum ditemukan obatnya. Dengan manajemen asma yang baik dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada penderitanya. Melakukan literature review Evidence Based Practice Nursing berupa edukasi terhadap quality of life pada pasien Asma. Literatur review dilakukan dengan pencarian jurnal melalui data base jurnal internasional EBSCO dan PubMed. Menggunakan ketentuan kata ((Patient with asthma) AND Nursing Education) AND quality of life. Pemilihan jurnal dilakukan dengan restriksi berupa kriteria inklusi: intervensi edukasi tentang asma, manajemen asma, dan metode edukasi, sedangkan kriteria eksklusi: penderita asma dengan gangguan mental. Edukasi memiliki peran penting dalam kesuksesan implementasi perawatan efektif. Edukasi pada pasien asma dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, self-efficacy, dan kontrol asma. Kekambuhan asma menjadi jarang terjadi dalam 30 hari setelah mendapatkan edukasi. Edukasi memiliki peran penting dalam kesuksesan implementasi perawatan efektif. Edukasi diberikan mencakup materi-materi dasar seputar manajemen asma. Metode edukasi yang dapat digunakan adalah peer leaders dan teach to goal.
