Abstract

Fat talk didefinisikan sebagai komentar negatif mengenai berat badan seseorang, yang berasal dari diri sendiri maupun dari orang lain. Keterlibatan dalam fat talk dapat memberikan dampak negatif yaitu menimbulkan citra tubuh negatif. Individu dengan citra tubuh negatif cenderung merasa tidak puas dengan bentuk tubuh dan penampilan dirinya. Tujuan penulisan adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara fat talk dengan body dissatisfaction pada kelompok remaja putri dan wanita dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menelaah beberapa artikel jurnal terkait dengan topik yang dibahas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui database Google Scholar dan Pubmed Medline yang dipublikasikan dalam rentang waktu 2018-2023 dengan kata kunci “fat talk, and negative body talk, and body dissatisfaction”. Ditemukan sebanyak 903 artikel namun hanya terdapat 6 artikel yang relevan dengan topik yang akan di review. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara fat talk dengan body dissatisfaction pada kelompok remaja putri dan wanita dewasa awal.
