Abstract

Kemoterapi merupakan metode pengobatan yang umum dilakukan pada pasien kanker, namun dapat menimbulkan efek negatif seperti penurunan nafsu makan dan gangguan sistem pencernaan. Status nutrisi yang baik pada pasien kanker sangat penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan pengobatan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status nutrisi pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi di salah satu rumah sakit umum di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2023. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 53 responden. Dalam penelitian ini instrumen yang digunakan adalah Malnutrition Screening Tool (MST) yang telah valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Sebagian besar pasien kanker berusia 46-55 tahun (30,2%), berjenis kelamin perempuan (69,8%), berstatus menikah (73,6%), berpendidikan SD (35,8%), bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga (30,2%), dan berpenghasilan rendah (84,9%). Sebagian besar pasien kanker menderita kanker payudara (52,8%),  stadium II (64,2%), telah menjalani kemoterapi siklus keempat (30,2%), dan memiliki indeks massa tubuh normal (39,6%). Sebanyak 35 pasien kanker (66%) yang menjalani kemoterapi mempunyai risiko malnutrisi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi mengalami risiko malnutrisi.
