Implementasi Metode Montessori Dalam Pengenalan Literasi Pada Anak Dengan Autism Spectrum Disorder

Banyak anak autis dikelompokkan dalam program yang berkaitan dengan kecacatan, dibutuhkan metode dan program pembelajaran yang mampu mengembangkan apa yang mereka bisa lakukan, daripada berfokus pada kekurangannya. Metode Montessori dianggap solusi yang tepat untuk membantu anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus (ABK) dan spesial seperti autism. Tujuan tinjauan literature ini adalah memberikan ulasan tentang berbagai studi yang melaporkan implementasi pendekatan Montessori terhadap kemampuan literasi anak autis yang berada pada jenjang pendidikan usia dini. Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan penelitian dan implementasi konsep Montessori pada anak usia dini dengan autism di berbagai negara dilaporkan metode Montessori mampu mengembangkan kemampuan anak autism yang berfokus pada sensorial, matematikan, bahasa, kultur atau kebiasaan dan practical life.
